TEAM INDIA’S HAPPENING ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2019 CAMPAIGN

Injuries kept hunting down our players but still we never let it affect us and ended up topping the league table. We surely agree with Virat Kohli that 45 minutes of bad cricket puts you out of the tournament. It just wasn’t our day in the semis but we are proud of our Team India’s happening ICC Cricket 2019 campaign!

  • ROHIT SHARMA

Scoring 648 runs in 9 matches at an average of 81.00 and strike rate of 98.33 including 5 centuries in a World Cup is no joke. ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will surely be remembered for Rohit Sharma’s supreme batting. Take a bow Hitman!

  • SHIKHAR DHAWAN

It’s unfortunate for Team India that Shikhar Dhawan was ruled out of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 due to injury when we needed him the most but he surely left his mark on the tournament by scoring his 3rd World Cup century against Aussies.

  • KL RAHUL

KL Rahul’s batting in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 kept getting better and better by every passing match and the way he adapted the opening slot in Shikhar Dhawan’s absence is commendable. He certainly had a great outing and his century against Sri Lanka was indeed a cherry on the cake.

  • VIRAT KOHLI

Virat Kohli has himself to blame for setting the standards of his batting so high that his decent batting figures in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 don’t do justice to it but his excellent captaincy in his debut World Cup as a Captain is worth appreciating for sure.

  • HARDIK PANDYA

Hardik Pandya’s clean slogging always assured a dynamic finish to the Indian Cricket Team in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. He was brilliant in the field as well as with the ball and his short-pitched deliveries certainly sting like a bee to the opposition batsmen!

  • MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI

We don’t care how slowly MS Dhoni played and how much he struggled to score runs at pace in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 but watching him walk in disappointment after getting out by a whisker in the semi-final was heartbreaking. Lots of love MSD, we wish you the best in life.

  • RISHABH PANT & RAVINDRA JADEJA

The way Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja shaped Team India’s innings in semis after the fall of 3 major quick wickets showcased their true potential and intent to the world. We surely want to see them in the squad more often from now onward.

  • JASPRIT BUMRAH

Gone are the days when we used to skip watching our bowling because now we have the World No. 1 bowler on our side. Jasprit Bumrah was nothing less than a nightmare for the opposition batsmen in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and his 18 wickets definitely proves this fact right.

  • MOHAMMED SHAMI

Mohammed Shami always lived up to the Captain’s expectations in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. He bowled exceptionally well in order to bag 14 wickets in the 4 matches he played that also includes a stunning hat-trick in a nail-biter against Afghanistan.

  • YUZVENDRA CHAHAL

Captain Kohli’s go-to spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal did his job in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 too by picking up 12 wickets in the 8 matches he played in the tournament. He was brilliant in the middle overs and never let the opposition batsmen breathe freely in the middle.

  • BHUVNESHWAR KUMAR

Injury tried everything to stop Bhuvneshwar Kumar from playing but Bhuvi recovered from it like a true fighter and came back to serve Team India with his swinging deliveries. He did a decent job in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and proved to be a lethal weapon of Indian Cricket Team’s bowling department.
