Our pursuit of exploring authentic North Indian restaurants in the city of Mumbai has brought us across yet another gem of a restaurant in the form Taste of Punjab. Located at Bandra West, just besides the Linking Road Shopping center, Taste of Punjab is where everyone should be in order to fulfill their cravings for Punjabi delicacies and feel the happening energy of Punjab especially with Lohri on cards!

What sets Taste of Punjab stand out from the other ordinary north Indian restaurants (apart from it’s heavenly food off course!) is their bewitching decor that has the essence of Punjab’s rich and prosperous culture. Also, the showcase of live dhol and bhangada performances by energetic in between at regular intervals are so electrifying that you just cannot resist yourself by shaking a leg or two with them and end up saying Taste of Punjab’s tagline i.e. Punjabi bole toh haath upar!

If you are hardcore foodies like us and don’t care much about the calories count, then Taste of Punjab’s wide buffet spread consisting of Veg Starters, Non Veg Starters, Salads, Mains, Live Counters and Sweets is tailor-made for you!
You can enjoy various street favourites like Tawa Raan Biryani, Punjabi Dosa, Stuffed Parathe and Chatpati Chaat at Taste of Punjab without worry about the hygiene quotient. We personally liked the Dahi Puri and Pani Puri, which was served at the live counter here as it was precisely made with a perfect balance of flavoured water.
The best thing about food served at Taste of Punjab is that it is made from the special spices and secret recipes which is prepared by the franchise itself, which we got to know from Taste of Punjab’s CEO – Mr. Sachin Jawale upon our conversation with him. You can feel the difference between the taste of food served here and food served at other restaurants as soon as you will try the delectable starters and mains. Also, we loved the way how Taste of Punjab offers various options of Veg and Non-veg salads with an added privilege of making your very own custom salad!
Taste of Punjab also offers a heavenly experience for people with sweet tooth like us as you get to choose from lip-smacking ‘Mithaiyan’ here like Jalebi, Rabdi, Firni, Gulab Jamun, Hot Masala Milk, Seasonal Halwas as well as Kulfis.
The Indian breads served at Taste of Punjab are cooked to perfection. You can choose from Roti, Chapati, Naan, etc. As per your convenience and enjoy your meal with steaming hot Indian breads, straight out of the Tandoor!

We would highly recommend you to visit Taste of Punjab – Bandra with family because one is bound to have a gala time here. Even the kids will have a blast after checking out the colourful statues and decor here. You can also buy authentic Punjabi Jutti, get yourself an amazing Mehendi at the Mehendi Corner, enjoy Free Wifi and pose for the social media at the selfie corner at Taste of Punjab, which adds to the overall experience of your valuable visit!
