There’s no better thing than luxury and good food combined together and Taj Hotels is where both of these factors go hand in hand. Our visit to the fine dining restaurant – Tiqri at Hotel Taj Santacruz was nothing short of a pleasing experience as far as hunger pangs were concerned!

Tiqri is a heaven for all the foodies who prefer delighting their taste buds with different types of cuisine. This fine dining restaurant at Hotel Taj Santacruz offers the global cuisine with the precision of world-class chefs. Your brain is bound to fade for a while after going through the deepness of its menu card for sure!

A soothing aura along with comfy seating arrangement surrounded by humongous property of Taj Hotels lets you enjoy your food at its best. The lanterns setup in between add a much needed detailing to the place. Though the atmosphere becomes a bit of noisy at peak hours but it is quite peaceful as compared to the city hustle outside the property.
The restaurant lit up slowly and steadily as the evening progresses. We personally loved the blue theme which adds a cool element to the sitting area which adds to the blissful experience of dining at this luxurious multi-cuisine restaurant.
  • FOOD
As we had entered the restaurant at high tea, they welcomed us with a basket full of bakery products which are freshly prepared at the in-house bakery of Hotel Taj Santacruz. The crunchy taste of this basket was enough to justify its freshness.
Being the fans of tomato soup, we were bound to try the Roasted Tomato and Basil soup. The blend of roasted tomato and basil, topped with the sprinkle of herbs was felt in every spoon. We were highly impressed with the quantity served and this refreshing soup provided just the most perfect start to our luxurious evening.
Trying out different kinds of platters is something which we prefer and love the most. The Mexican Platter served at Tiqri has the choice of vegetarian and non-vegeterian – both. The platter consisted of Mini Mexican Tacos, lex mex rolls, chips and salsa. Every element had its own unique test and the way it was presented to us was worth a watch.
The Vegetable Thai Fried Rice served at Tiqri was a lot more on the spicy side, though the taste simply pleasurable. The rice was steamed to perfection and the gravy served was somewhat resembling to majority of seafood gravies, which had an essence of coconut added to them.
It was important for the dessert to compliment the standards of the intact starters and main course and must say, the Macadamia Browie didn’t disappointed us at all. The french vanilla ice-cream filled with a sweet filling was very well accompanied with a chocolate pastry which was filled with rich liquid chocolate to provide a royal ending to your dining experience.
The in-house bar of Hotel Taj Santacruz offers a variety of mocktails too, which can be customized as per your preferences. The apple flavoured virgin mojito provided an icy-cold relief in every sip and tasted really very well. The freshness of mint leaves and green apple pieces added a whole new level of energy to the body.
The other mocktail we ordered was made with a watermelon base and had a decent taste and feel. The watermelon piece added sweetness to the lemon juice and this combo tasted superb. The best thing about this mocktail was the way it was catching the attention of our eyeballs!
